Accident insurance (AF)
OBJECT OF INSURANCE
EUROINS based on the insurance contract and in exchange of the insurance premium paid by The Contractor/Insured, insures the physical integrity or the life of the Insured by indemnifying the Insured (or the Beneficiary in case of death) up to the limit of the sum insured in case of an accident that results in permanent disability or death, occurred during the insured period.
People with obvious physical defects or mutilations may only be covered through a special contract between the Insured EUROINS that shall contain:
- the forensic report on the degree of disability of the Insured;
- the Insured’s commitment not to claim additional amounts considering the amount due by taking into account the degree of disability of the Insured.
INSURED RISKS
BASIC RISKS
EUROINS covers the risks of permanent disability and death due to accidents.
The following events are covered by this insurance:
a. traffic accidents;
b. heat stroke, blight, collapse due to heat or cold, from which the Insured could not escape due to accident;
c. asphyxiation by gas and/or vapor emanation and the effects of accidental ingestion of toxic substances;
d. burns, drowning, hitting, falling, slipping, sticking, cutting;
e. explosions landslide/landfall, lightning, the action of electricity;
f. attack by another person or animal;
g. death caused by post traumatic acute infectious disease, rabies or tetanus.
SPECIAL EXTENSIONS
-hospitalization as a result of an insured event;
-convalescence due to accidents;
-temporary disability as a result of an insured event;
-surgery as a result of an insured event;
-burns as a result of an insured event;
-medical expenses as a result of an insured event;
-bone fractures as a result of an insured event;
-plaster immobilization device.
SIGNING OF THE CONTRACT
The insurance contract is concluded based on the insurance questionnaire written and signed by the Insured.
INSURANCE PREMIUM
Insurance premiums are paid in full and in advance in no more than four installments.
INSURED’S/CONTRACTOR’S OBLIGATIONS
The Insured/Beneficiary is obliged to communicate to EUROINS the occurrence of the accident within 3 working days following the event.
Immediately after the accident, the Insured must report, if this condition permits it, to a health facility or a doctor to be examined and must follow the prescribed treatment.
If the Insured does not have this possibility, the obligation to present the Insured to the health unit or doctor and to make sure the Insured follows the prescribed treatment falls on the Contractor.
